Beauty + Soul | Photo Manipulation | Original Artwork by Tamara Gold.
Just wanted to post a little note today. I’ve had several people contact or email me to find out what’s up?
I’m working behind the scenes, creating a lot of art and building out a new website.
Looking forward to connecting with you all soon.
Okay, I admit it. Even when I’m on set, or waiting at the Orthodontist with my kids, I find myself drawn to experimenting with the incredibly creative applications now available for the iPhone. Guilty! I’m feeling a bit like a kid playing video games when no one is looking.I have to say…I LOVE these apps!
They’re amazing!
To make you feel better about yourself and your addiction to your iPhone…just remember, You can use these apps to document your work, experiment with different techniques, or create a entirely new art form.
So…
have at it and send me your pics!
I’d love to see what you’ve created in your spare time.
Here’s one of my favorites and a you can link through to a totally ridiculous gallery I’ve created of all the iPhone art I’ve been “hiding” from everyone, the past few years.
Have fun!

If you remember being on set in the “old days” when we really did shake the poloroid and wait for it to develop, you’ll enjoy playing around with this App.
When I’m working on set and people see this App…they download it right away.
It takes a few minutes to download. But well worth the effort.
Toy Camera
I’m still playing around with this one.

Get the look and feel, of the plastic toy cameras.

Apps for Creatives offers so many tools! You have to check them all out.
Let me know which ones you like.

Creative inspiration comes from all different sources. One of my favorites is Pinterest. I love the visuals. There are so many creative people in the world, shooting amazing images and posting the most exquisite photos. You need to check it out. Just know – It’s totally addicting. Have fun!
Whether I’m working with a client on their personal style, getting ready for a photo shoot, or picking up my brushes to paint – I always start by creating inspiration boards. It helps determine theme, color, textures, and an overall vibe that is resonating for the next creative project. If you’ve never created your own inspiration board, give it a try. We think in pictures and if you have a reference point it’s easier to create…anything.
“I know of no more encouraging fact than the unquestionable ability of man to elevate his life by a conscious endeavor. It is something to be able to paint a particular picture, or to carve a statue, and so to make a few objects beautiful; but it is far more glorious to carve and paint the very atmosphere and medium through which we look, which morally we can do. To affect the quality of the day, that is the highest of arts.” – Henry Davide Thoreau
“Embrace the beauty of ‘you.’ Once you’ve done that, you’re ready to start playing with the power of makeup to transform yourself into anything you want to be.” — Scott Barnes

It doesn’t seem to matter how famous you are, how much talent you have, or where you are in your career. Even the greatest of artist’s doubt themselves. Knowing that a master, like Richard Avedon, had his moments, makes you realize that we’re all human. Art is a process. It can be a spiritual journey that opens you up to everything that is raw in your life, including not feeling like your good enough to pursue your dreams and talents.
