Spending the day with the most talented of makeup artists in the business is always exciting. I’m always inspired by other creative talents at work or play. The talk is about color, pigment, payoff! We assemble palettes which will make a bride glow, an editorial spread “pop”….and you’ll even over hear us asking each other for advice.
“Do you think this color works on me?”
Trained Professionals. Yes. Highly successful. Top of their careers and the still ask others for their opinion. Why? If truth be told, it’s not as easy to be objective when it comes to yourself. Knowing that even the Pro’s will ask their fellow cohorts for advice and opinions should be comforting.
I digress. Back to the inspiration at hand. I find inspiration in what I love to do. What resonates with you? What would you do if no one were looking? Okay, don’t think nasty thoughts here. I’m talking about what makes you feel bliss?
Personally, I adore fashion books. Okay! I’m lying! I LOVE any book that contains amazing photography. Makeup. Hair. Fashion. Art. Landscape. Architecture. It’s all art and I get unbelievably inspired when I flip through a giant glossy picture book. Black and White Photography fascinates me.
